QT Batch Compressor is a utility that makes it easy to use the Quicktime system extension to compress multiple picture files at once. In order to use this utility, you must be using System 7.0 or higher and have the Quicktime extension installed.
QT Batch Compressor compresses picture files using either the “JPEG” or “Video” compression schemes built into Quicktime. The files resulting from compression are 24 bit, full color (or greyscale) pictures. You can expect 2- to 10-fold compression ratios. These compressed picture files can be opened and displayed by any graphics application running on a system with Quicktime installed.
Picture files can be queued for compression either from the desktop or from within the application.
